Prof. (Dr.) Souvik Adhikari is a Professor of Plastic Surgery and Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeon based in Kolkata.
He is a Professor of Plastic Surgery and has been teaching and training postdoctoral trainees in Plastic Surgery for more than 12 years.
He completed his MBBS from Medical College, Calcutta and MS in General Surgery from the same institute, following which he completed his MCh in Plastic Surgery from IPGME&R, Kolkata all of which are well distinguished institutes in Eastern India.
Following completion of MCh, he went to Johns Hopkins University, USA for an AOCMF Fellowship (Observership).
After returning, he joined as a RMO Cum Clinical Tutor in IPGME&R, Kolkata following which he was promoted to Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and subsequently to Professor of Plastic Surgery.
He has extensive experience in Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery and has benefited thousands of patients over the years. People from numerous countries overseas including USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, France, Bangladesh, UAE and so on have undergone surgeries under his care.
He has trained numerous plastic surgeons in their formative years who have gone to become accomplished surgeons.
His work in plastic surgery is reflected in his various publications some of which entail quite unique plastic surgical procedures.
He was a team leader in the first bilateral hand transplant performed in Eastern India at IPGME&R.
He has been featured in numerous television interviews and newspaper articles.
